40 Years of Leadership In The Plastics Industry
Arnold G. Fisher -Founded in 1959 by Arnold G. (Arnie) Fisher.

-First Product: a new technology for making small plastic parts faster and more accurately -- injection molding.

-Arnie Fisher in a rented Dodge motor home fitted with a welded-on washtub demonstrates injection molding for customers and prospects.  The van traveled all over the Midwest demonstrating the new technology.  This is the same territory the company serves today. -The travelling exhibit helped demonstrate the essential simplicity of the process:
Arnie would just pull into a prospect's plant, plug in the "washtub" and run product.

-Arnie Fisher is an avid pilot, and Fisher Sales is a pioneer in using corporate aircraft.
The first a 1967 Mooney.

-Fisher Sales began representing Engel, Inc., Austria-based manufacturer of
state-of-the-art injection molding equipment in 1979. And the company's history
of long-term partnership with clients and customers is born.

The "Jumping Sales Rep"

It all started with a simple idea.  Back in 1959, Arnie Fisher confronted two problems common to fast growing companies. More and more client companies were asking him to do more and more - which was good. And he was never home - which was bad. Especially for a man with a family. So he bought a plane - a 1967 Mooney, a super reliable four seater that moved him around his Midwest territory and also gave him enough room to put injection molding machine parts in the cargo hatch and the empty seats! First Corporate Logo It was time for this growing company to have a symbol. The answer was obvious: it had to have something that said flying/sales/service. And that's how the airborne salesman in the fedora was born.
The first symbol lasted almost 20 years, until 1984. Jim Fisher, Arnie's son, decided the fedora had to go, the Mooney had to be upgraded to a jet and the design would have to be a little more contemporary.  (Really he wanted it to "just go away", but there was something about it that customers liked!) Re-designed Logo in the mid 80's

The symbol has gotten more contemporary.
